Can't update Windows Defender

I recently installed Windows Defender and I was never able to update it.
It's now running at 27 days without updates.

I tried manually downloading from Windows Update, but I get this error:
[Error number: 0x8024402F]

This is the same error that shows up in Windows Defender. I tried all these
other fixes I found in the newsgroups:

1. Register dll files
2. Clear WD signatures
3. Uninstall/reinstall WD
4. Enable BITS
5. Clear cache and cookies

Any ideas?

Look at:
http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us
and start the services.
With me it workt
