Can't Update Spybot S&D

Whenever I use the automatic updater in Spybot (1.3 rc4) I get the message that
newer updates aren't available. Even when I manually download and install, the
software tells me that the last update was last March.
What's happening? I suppose I'm doing something incredibly stupid, but I'm too
stupid to know what it is.

I had similar probs with 1.3 beta 4
So i downloaded 1.3 final here
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html
and it works fine

I just this minute tried to update 1.3 Final and there was indeed a
rule update created three days ago. The download worked fine.
