can't update outlook calendar

I had to run Scanpst.exe on my outlook.pst file, and now I can't update the
calendar with new meetings or appointments. Outlook just hangs with no error
messages.
 
Have you run ScanPST multiple times until it comes up error-free?
 
No, I only ran it once. It reported 56 errors and a successful completion,
so I figured that one execution was enough.
