Can't switch primary monitor

I have an IBM ThinkPad into which I've plugged a monitor and a USB hub with a
keyboard and mouse. When I have the monitor plugged in, I want to make the
"desktop computer" my primary one, with the option of using the laptop screen
to view a second document.

I can get the dual monitors working OK, but the option to switch my primary
monitor away from the laptop is greyed out. Is it not possible to do this? Or
am I missing something?

OK, I just answered my own question.

I went into the Advanced tab, and there was another tab called DIsplay,
under which I could designate my primary and secondary monitor. Not sure why
I couldn't do it from the main screen - perhaps this is a property of my
particular laptop and/or monitor.
