Can't shut down

Have a new Dell. Running Windows XP. Outlook (not
Express) came with it. Can;t seem to shut down
properly. When I do, I get an error message saying
Outlook is not responding.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Run "Detect and Repair" from under the help menu in Outlook.

Did that already. To no avail...

do you have any addins installed? active sync, winfax etc?

if you get the error when you close windows, close outlook first, wait a few
min and close windows.
