Can't setup dialup connection

James

Hi.

I have a late model toshiba notebook here that has a
built in modem. If you go into contolpanel->modems it
shows up fine in there but when i go in and try to setup
a network connection the option to make a connetion to
the internet using a dialup modem is grey'd out so i
can't select it.

If i run the setup disk for the isp it says that there is
no modem installed so i uninstalled it and rebooted the
machine and reinstalled it and i get the same message.

Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

James,

please have a look at the following Microsoft Knowledge Base
article. Perhaps it applies to your situation.
