Cant set up my windows email account

Hotmail is not supported in Windows Mail in Vista.

You might try something call Hotpopper or similar for awhile but that will
change later (if it even still works now).

Windows Live Mail desktop beta does support Hotmail.

1) http://ideas.live.com
2) Sign up for Windows Live Hotmail. This is what the current Hotmail will
be later.
3) Sign up for Windows Live Mail desktop beta.
4) Download and install.
5) Wait till your account is changed over to Windows Live Mail desktop
servers. They are not the same as Hotmail. Read the sign up page carefully.
It may still show that the account may take up to two weeks to change over.

Once it is changed, you're set.

================================
As you discovered...Hotmail accounts cannot
be accessed with Windows Mail. It works in
Outlook if you happen to have it.

(926374) You cannot configure Windows Mail
to use a Web-based e-mail account in Windows
Vista
