Cant send or receive emails

I've done something to my settings, and cannot send or
receive emails. Can anyone tell me what to do? And I'm
not a newby either, shame shame! thanks. Kari
 
Error message? Version of Outlook? Type of mail account? Checked your mail
account settings already?
