Hi,
I can't seem to send large emails (over 400kb) from my account. I have been
able to for the last 2 years and of the people using the same domain can
without any problems. If I send a simple email with no attachments then it
seems to work fine. When I add a couple of pictures it takes about 5 - 10
minutes to send, then moves to the sent box and about 20 minutes later a
Symantec message appears telling me that the email could not be sent as the
server connection was lost before the message was sent. This can't be right
though as I have no problem with the network and the email account seems to
be working fine. I have deleted Symantec but the emails are still not
recieved. I have changed the time out setting to 5 minutes just in case.

Could it be a vius causing this problem? Any idea which one?
Cheers
Lenny

Have you disabled Symantec integration? It sounds as if Symantec software is
interfering with your send.

What do you mean by Symantec integration? Doesn't deleting the program from
'Add/remove Programs' sort that out? I have tried deleting Symantec from the
system but the email still doesn't get sent. Now the progress bar seems to
get to about half way and then stop for about 10 minutes. Sometimes the
email then goes into the sent box but is never recieved at the other end.
Weird problem this as I haven't come across it before and have used this
combination (Outlook 2003 and Symantec Corporate edition) for a couple of
years on about 35 systems with no problems at all. If I go across the room
and use a differnet machine it seems to get sent OK.
