I just tried to set up my internet provider (Orange) email account through
outlook 2003. I can receieve emails ok but when I try to send them I get the
message that it can not find the server.
My ISP is not being very helpful and I have tried changing the port to 587,
any other ideas welcome!

Using port 587 the message is the specificed server was found, but there was
no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information
is correct. To access these settings close this dialog, then click more
settings and click on the advanced tab.

Using port 25 outlook could not connect to the outgoing mail server(SMTP).
The problem could be the server name or port, or your server may not support
SSL. Verify your port and SSL settings in More Settings under the Advanced
tab.

Port 25 is an incoming port, 110 & 587 are outgoing ports. Check that
you're authenticating to the server correctly.

What is the IP name for the SMTP mail host to which you are trying to
connect?

Did you enable SSL in the e-mail account you defined in Outlook?
