An error message referring to port 0 usually means you have interference
from an antivirus program that prevents looking up the correct port number.
What if any antivirus programs do you have?

Also, you may want to check your settings:

<http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/index.cfm?action=showthread&threadid=289750&forumid=20>

Whichever port you are now using for the outgoing email server, you
may want to click on Tools, then Accounts, then your email account,
then Properties, then Advanced, that at the end of the Outgoing mail
port number, then backspace over it, then enter whichever of the
outgoing port numbers (25 or 587) wasn't there before, then click on
Apply, then OK, then Close.
