Can't send email

I just purchased a XPS 410 from Dell with the new Vista Home Premium system.
When I try to send an email from Windows Mail, I get a McAfee Window titled
"Email Message Problems". The message says that "one or more email messages
cannot be sent - After you verify the format of your recipient addresses,
McAfee recommends that you resend those messages from your email program".

I have spent hours on the phone with McAfee techs and noone can solve the
problem. Dell from whom the new system was purchased will not help because
they say it is a McAfee problem. Any suggestions?

The Dell tech was right. It *is* a McAfee problem.

Then uninstall anything "McAfee". Reboot, and try Windows Mail again.
Once you get your email working properly, download and install a
non-intrusive antivirus program such as the free Avast. Whichever
new antivirus program you keep, be sure to disable its email scanning option.

Thanks. I had to leave McAfee uninstalled in order to send email.
Unchecking the scan option and rebooting didn't help.
