Can't send email. Interface not registered. A beginer. Help!

I had Outlook Xp and it worked perfectly. I installed Office 2003 and now
Outlook won't send mail. It says interface not registered. It says word can't
be found(although it is installed) and it will use the Editor which still
won't send messages.
I am a novice, so I would appreciate any help I can get.
