Try moving those messages to the Drafts folder, or try deleting them.
If one or more appear to be stuck, use the Microsoft fix:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090
"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a
computer that is running Windows Vista"

That page offers two download options. Unless you know for sure
you have 64-bit Vista, use the 32-bit option.

If the Microsoft fix did not correct your problem, then perhaps you
have a different problem. Please describe your issue and include
any error messages.

Try deleting the outgoing messages (or open and save them to drafts) and
creating a
new message from scratch after closing and restarting mail. If the new
message goes, something got mangled in one of the ones that got stuck. Try
sending one at a time and see which one gets stuck again and delete it.

I have the same problem, it started 2 days ago. Strangely though it only
affects one mail account ~ the others do not have a problem,

This looks like interference from an antivirus program. What if any
such programs do you have?

This usually works, although temporarily, for such problems: Download
and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running. Remember where to
find it - you are likely to need it again if you keep certain antivirus
programs installed.

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or
the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first.

Comcast has started requiring users to change their outgoing port numbers,
but has been rather poor at telling their users in advance.
