I thought I followed the directions correctly but I can not send. I get the
following

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'asd', Account:
'(e-mail address removed)', Server: 'smtp.tpicks.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Is tpicks your ISP?

Are you connected to tpicks when you tried to send?

Post a link to the tpicks website for me please.

Sorry it took so long I couldnt log in.

I have a web site hosted with gate.com and I have my email address set up as
(e-mail address removed). The address of tpicks that you asked for is
http://www.tpicks.com.

I am not connected to tpicks when I try to send. I am using ATT DSL and I
connect with a 2 wire wireless system. I configured my settings per
instructions from gate.com but the send message does not work - I receive
just fine.

The message I get is
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'asd', Account:
'(e-mail address removed)', Server: 'smtp.tpicks.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

What you are experiencing is normal, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

As a general rule, the owner of a port 25 SMTP server must be the
same as the one providing your Internet connection at that moment.

The best workaround for you is to substitute your ISP's SMTP server
in that account. If you need help with that, let us know.
