Can't send a file from Explorer

On my computer, when I choose "Send to mail recipient" from the contxt menu
in Explorer (highlight a file and right-click), it works just fine: opens
my mail program, creates a message, attaches the file, and has the cursor in
the "to" line. Fine.

On my wife's computer, nothing happens. I get the correct context menu, a
choose "send to...," but nothing happens.

It sounds like an easy fix. What is it?

Configure the email program as the default email program for that computer.
