Can't see workgroup

Three computers on a workgroup, one wire to the wireless router, one wired to the modem router and one wireless.
Can’t see any other computers, only themselves
can’t share
can’t ping others
XP firewalls are off
no computer anme duplication
all show same workgroup name
but all three can connect to internet

I had the exact same characteristics. After I read Tom's post about the personal firewall, I checked mine. That was it! I have Norton Internet Security. If that's what you have, open it, on the very first page select personal firewall and turn it off. Voila!
