Can't see office server over vpn connection

Help Please. Have been using a sonicwall VPN connection
for past year, but now can't see or find when searching PC
name,or in network neighbour hood (part of same workgroup)
though can still ping and get response. Any ideas please

You can't generally browse across a VPN connection - unless your network has
WINS, and you have specified the WINS server address in your local IP config
for this connection. However, you can use an LMHOSTS file for NetBIOS name
resolution, which may help ...
