can't see files on other drive

I just did a clean install of XP and now I can't get to my files on the other
drive. In diskmagment, Windows see it as one big drive but is partition into
two partition.Under my computer it can not see the drive at all. Can someone
help me out here?
 
First you tell me why you had to reinstall xp, is this second drive a slave
drive always been a slave drive. Do you have any partitioning software.
 
Frist off I put a new drive in as the old one became full. old drive 80 gig
new one 250gig then put Xp on new one and it ran for about a week and it
started getting delayed write failed. Tryed to find fix but no one could
help. So I remove the partition and repartitioned the drive 125gig and
install Xp.

Now the other drive is the slave was the slave
Do you have any partitioning software. only on the slave I use Max blaster
to partition it.
