Can't see BCM after reinstallation

Hey,
I'm using my Outlook 2003 for a quite long time, but by now without BCM.
Some days ago I started installing it, but somehow caused an error. Since my
Outlook didn't properly start, I deinstalled BCM and Outlook was ready für
use again.

Then I started a second try and now there was no error. O started correct,
but i cannot see the installed Plugin.

Do you have any tipps for solving my problem? Or do you need further
information?

Best reguards!

Hi

Go to file > datafile management and click on add and select BCM this should
bring up the BCM interface to associate the same with the Outlook profile

Hi,

Similar problem - tried your advice. Got a message : Could not find stored
procedure 'ir_GetSBAInfo' back. Not sure what to uninstall and reinstall.

Here's what I think is happening with the ir_GetSBAInfo.

After BCM gets updated, the next time BCM runs it should detect that
the database is from the previous version and migrate the database to
the same version as the installed BCM.

It sounds like it is calling this stored procedure ir_GetSBAInfo,
before it has migrated the database. And because old databases don't
have that stored procedure, you see that error.

Following this message, does Outlook/BCM stop? If not, let it continue.
Hopefully BCM with proceed with the database migration and you won't
get that message next time.

Otherwise, try creating a new profile and selecting the database using
the Control Panel Mail applet. That should upgrade the database,
without the rest of BCM running and hitting this error.

Once the database is upgraded, BCM, with the usual mail profile, should
run without the error.

If that doesn't work, I have another suggestion, but it requires more
work...

After I install, when I go to my program menu, I only have two icons.
One called "business contact manager help" and another called "view the
tours."

I do not have a business contact manager executable, nor do I get the
little SQL agent desktop icon.

I've had this problem on other systems as well.

Is there something about my system that might be creating an
incompatiblity with BCM? It runs the install for like 20 minutes, but
once it is complete there is no evidence that BCM is actually on the
system.

BCM is an Outlook add-in, and not an executable program, so it doesn't
show up in the Start menu.

It should show up when you start in Outlook unless (1) you told that
mail profile earlier you didn't want to use BCM (you can test this by
creating a new mail profile), or (2) the BCM addin has been disabled in
the Outlook part of the Registry.

Once I installed the BCM update it worked. I'm cooking with gas.
