Can't search public sub-folders

Hi,
When doing a search under public folders, why "Search subfolders" check box
is disabled?

Where can we enable this settings.
When we select our own mailbox, that box enables fine.

Searches can apply to only one public folder at a time.

My Search In dropdown button is disabled for my 'Archive Folders'. In that
past is has been enabled, but not now. How do I re-enable the search in
dropdown so that I can search more than 1 folder in my Archive Folders?

Thank-you
B.

Where are you seeing this "search in" dropdown? In what version of OUtlook?

Outlook version is 2003.
Open up Archive file (File -> Open -> Outlook Data File -> select the
Archive.pst file)
Highlight 'Archive Folders' in the Folder List
Click on the Find toolbar button
Search In drop down is disabled.

It is enabled for searches to my Inbox, but not to the Public Folders (I
know that that is by design). The dropdown used to be enabled for the Archive
Folders.

Thanks

No trees were harmed in the sending of this email, however a large number of

I don't know why it's disabled. Looks like you'll need to use Advanced Find or create a search folder.
