I am having a problems saving my settings on XP. I have 3 other users on the
PC and it does not affect them.

Every time I sign off or reboot, my screen resolution goes to the largest
font. I have to go into the settings tab all the time and reset it.

Does anyone know what causes this and how can i fix this annoyance?

Hi,

First, I would check the following:

Go to Start => Run and type in "regedit" {without the quotes}
In the Registry Editor that opens navigate (go) to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies
\Explorer

Look in the right-hand pane for the DWORD entry:
"NoSaveSettings"
It should have a Value of decimal 0
If it's anything else (i.e. a 1), right-click on this DWORD and Edit
it to a 0 (that's a zero).
Exit the Registry Editor.

An alternative, if this condition didn't happen too long ago, is to do
a System Restore to a point before the problem first occurred.
