Can't save Jpeg's

Can no longer save Jpeg files on my Windows 2000 system
Recently caught virus: Trojan.ByteVerif
backdoor.Sheldo
Trojan.Bootcon
Quarantined the infected items with Norton Antivus but they were irrepairable
Everytime i try to save a jpeg image,im only permitted to save it as BITMAP or ART file?
Please Help!

Try emptying your IE cache (control panel, internet options, delete files).

Try re-installing the S/W
What S/W are you using ?

e.g. PhotoShop 5 "Save copy" allows you .
"Save as" does not.
