Can't Save .GIF Attachment

I occasionally get animated .gif attachments in my hotmail that I want to
keep but when I try to save them using "Save Picture As" the only file type
it will allow me to save the image at is a .BMP. It is not a problem with
my I.E. Temp Files. I have deleted them, including off-line content). Any
suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, Mac

Clear the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and delete
offline content.) It's often recommended that the Temporary Internet Files
(folder) be kept at
40-50 MB. Bigger isn't necessarily better.
