cant save downoads anymore

hi,

for some reason all of a sudden i am no longer able to
save the file i want to download. instead windows just
puts the file into a temp directory now and has no option
to save the file to my normal download location. So
baiscally now i cant save any download and most downloads
dont even work becuase they are sent to a temp folder. i
didnt touch any settings anywhere that would change this
as far as i know. Is there an option menu somehwere
where i can fix this or anything?

Open Windows Explorer and go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to the file type in question and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Check the box for "Confirm open after download".
