can't run javascript

Hi,

I have a PC running Windows XP Pro with Internet Explorer 6. It seems to me
that this machine is not able run javascript. Any link in IE that looks
anything like "javascript::loadwin()" just doesn't work. I don't get an
error message, but nothing happens. To make sure that it isn't a problem
with the specific links I am trying, I have tested them on other pc's and
they have worked fine.

This pc is running Norton Internet Security, but even if I disable it, I
still have the problem. I have gone into the IE "Internet Options"
"Security" tab and set the the security level for the Internet zone to medium
(this is as low as it will allow me to change it). This does not fix the
problem. I was wondering if anyone could give me a suggestion as to what
might be preventing this pc from running javascript.

Thanks,
Paul
