It sounds like your computer has been infested with some sort of
virus/trojan that is resetting the file association for .EXE files.
Make certain that your antivirus software is completely up to date
with the virus definitions not more than a week old and do a complete
virus scan of your hard drive. Then get a second opinion by doing a
free online virus scan at one of the following sites:
Are you trying to open it off a network? I had the same problem but fixed it by copying it off...
