Can't run ChkDsk or Defrag without getting STOP error

Am getting the following error/blue screen while running
either Chkdsk or defrag

*** STOP error code 0x000000D1 (0x00000014, 0x00000002,
0x00000000, 0xF999E0F8)
*** IdeChnDr.sys - Address F999E0F8 base at F999B000,
Datestamp 3bd89c65

DELL COMPUTERS who is supposed to provide my support since
I purchased my Windows XP from them with my computer have
not been any help at all. Can anyone who is very
knowledgeable about this kind of thing help me? You can

Looks like a bad driver, IdeChnDr.sys. Check through the following, if it
looks like it applies, then get the latest version of the intel application
accelerator.

Hello Molly: this was a bad mistake
(e-mail address removed)
You WILL be getting virus attached e/mails for about two
weeks, mainly they claim to be from Microsoft with
updates, dont open the attachments just delete them,
eventually they will stop coming. I did the same thing
when I first posted here
