I am trying to connect to my school's email network, this
is the error message I get.

Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password
Authentication. Account: 'school',
Server: 'pop.school.edu, Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '.', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number:
0x800CCC18

I can send emails and I've followed the directions for the
SPA change exactly, but it still doesn't work.

help!

Have you tried disabling it? Also check your firewall settings and check
with some classmates whether they are able to connect succesfully.

Roady's right - turn off SPA. Very few servers support it. Since you're
connecting over SSL, your password will be secure anyway.
