can't receive emails on windows mail

Hi, i've spent a bit of time reading through all these posts and i realise
people similar problems so i'm sorry to repeat it again, but I can send
emails through my windows mail.

I use a bigpond account,
Incoming (POP3) mail server: mail.bigpond.com
Outgoing (SMTP) mail server: mail.bigpond.com

I use the Mcafee virus protection, i've disabled all the protection walls,
but still no emails are coming through. Is it really necessary to uninstall
the program??

Since i've had windows mail (start of the year), email's been working fine,
but recently when clicking send/receive i was asked to put in my password, i
entered it correctly and no emails came up. I do not have the "Log on with
Password Authentication" box ticked...Since then i haven't been able to
receieve emails.

Any help is appreciated thank you!

since it has been working correctly since Jan (suggest your computer set up
is fine) and has only recently stopped i would say it's a server issue and
you might be OK in a couple days - have a look online and see if they are
working on it

There have been many instances of Norton and McAfee screwing WM
after many months of apparently trouble free use.
