Can't read DVD files

Just put a new HDD into this computer, so I reinstalled XP home and tacked on
sp3. Now Windows Explorer can't read any of the files or folders on any of my
DVD's. The drive is: HL-DT-ST RW/DVD.

And if your media is a data DVD-RW, different packet writing software
(like Nero vs CF/DVD creator) from one publisher might be incompatible
with disks written with software from another publisher.
