Can't play video in TV Out mode

I have an old 9600 Pro (not a gamer but i guessed you worked that one out)
that will play and display video files (avi's vobs, fine on the PC but when
i try to view them using the TV Out function all it does is display a black
screen on the TV, audio is fine just no images.

I have a lead going from TV Out on card to S-VHS input on video (remember
them) and then that is watched via the video channel on the TV, I know this
set up works as it used to a few months back, the TV will display what i'm
doing, for example if i'm surfing BBC's site that is viewable via the TV but
as soon as it comes to video then that's when it goes tits up.

I have tried installing "K-Lite Mega Codec Pack" using both standerd instal
as well as full instal but same problem is still there.

Anyone care to shed some light on what i may be doing wrong? PC is running
XP Pro SP2 with all updates if that helps.

it's to do with the overlay only displaying on your primary display
play with theater mode options in the overlay tab
