I installed a new Sony DRU-510A DVD burner on my PC. It plays music CD's
various video clips from CD's and reads/writes data OK. I used the Sony DVD
drive utility to check and verify the drives performances and all checks OK.
When I put a DVD movie in, WMP displays the following error message, Error
ID = 0xC00D116A. I've searched and found some information on the MS site but
none that solves the problem. Has anyone had similar problems??

Thanks ssg,

I have not installed any DVD programs or software on my computer yet. I
assumed the WMP would play DVD's by it self. DO I need to install DVD
software first, or should WMP be able to play DVD's on it's own?

Ron

You need to install the appropriate codec's, which come with a DVD player
such as PowerDVD.
