Can't open the System Information in XP

When I try to run the System Information program in XP
(MSinfo32.exe), the "Help and support center" opens
instead.

little help anyone?
 
could you perhaps describe the process of the registry
fixing, what's wrong in the registry? Although I'm sure
the fix will work, I will not run a *.reg file downloaded
from some non-official site...

If you're not happy with altering the Registry, try the following batch file
from the same web page:

Line 172 - left hand side.

Kelly's web site is very well known and referenced for all kinds of XP
problems.
