Can't open some links or any pop-ups

I have IE6. I am not able to open any java or flash links
especially if they open a new browser window and I am
unable to get any pop-ups. When I click these links I often
get an error message with the following I couldn't even use
the "New Post" button on this page, I had to download
Netscape and submit this post using Navigator. I don't have
a pop-up blocker on my computer and I have run Spybot and
my virus scanner just for good measure. I sometimes get a
message that asks if I want to debug but most of the time
nothing at all happens. I have also tried playing with my
security settings but still no luck.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You do have a pop-up blocker. Spybot has a feature that
automatically stops such pop-ups. As long as you have
Spybot this will continue to happen. There is a
workaround though. In IE in internet options, go to
advanced and make sure the disable script debugging box
is checked and then click ok. This does work, but as long
as you have any kind of program on your computer that
stops adware or pop-ups its most likely you'll have to
work around it. One other thing Spybot is always active
in background it never goes off unless you remove the
program.
