Can't open Lotus .123 files

I am using Excel 2002 and need to open some Lotus 123
files. The MS Help says there is a converter to do
this. I can't find anything on the website that
references .123 files. I downloaded the converter and
toolbox that goes into ORKTOOLS, but I don't see how this
has helped me.

Excel cannot open .123 files (only the older WK? formats). MS has not done
a filter either. If you have a copy of 1-2-3 you have use it to save the
..123 files in XLS or WK4 format. Otherwise you may have to buy the
Conversions Plus utility from www.dataviz.com
