Can't open jpegs

I've saved jpegs and can open them in windows explorer using both paint and
windows and fax viewer. When I attach them to an email, I'm not able to
open them before I send them to check what I'm doing. The pop up tells me I
don't have the program installed, or the pop up tells me it's only valid for
products installed. I've been to Folder Options and associated the correct
files with both programs but it doesn't work. How can fix this so I can
open these files? Thanks for your help.

I did. I'm able to see the picture embedded in the message but not able to
click open the jpeg - same error message. Forgive me if I'm being dull, but
I don't understand why I can't view the jpeg as an attachment to a file I'm
sending. Thanks again.

It looks as though have lost the association for opening jpg files. Go to
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm and download the fix for this JPG
association and follow the instructions there.

I think you're right. I tried the fix but haven't had success. The problem
I'm having specifically, is when I attach several jpegs to an email,
sometimes I want to look at what I've attached (perhaps to reorder, delete).
I can't view them anymore and don't know how to fix. I can Explore and open
from there, but for some reason I can't associate them with any program once
I've attached them to an email. By the way, I can see them after I've sent
them (they open up in the email as a straight photo), but not before. I
appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.
