Can't open in Front Page

I've created this beautiful website but it's file can now only be opened by opening from internet explorer

When I try to open a page (file) otherwise in front page (C, a new blank page opens

How do I get the page to open in front page so that I can edit my changes

A file is not a web site, even if it is HTML. A web site is an organization
of files, folders, and related objects, which share the same root URL, and
are linked together. If you want to work on a web site, use FrontPage to
create the web site first, and then you can add files to it.

You probaly are just looking in the wrong place, you may
have turned off open last web automatically without
realizing it. Try File - Recent Files (use small arrow on
pull out menu), Also look in My Documents my webs,
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot or file open my network places. Run a
search for unique text that only will be in your site.
