Can't open HTML attachment

Recently my HTML attachments stopped working. The pop-up box comes up still,
but when I select "open" it takes me to C:\WINDOWS\system32. It used to open
the web page. When I click "save to disk" the save box pops up, but when I
choose where to save it, I get the error message "Outlook cannot save the URL
to a file. Path does not exist. Make sure the path is correct."

I can, however, right click on the image of the HTML attachment (the IE
explorer icon) and select "save as" from there. It then lets me save the
document, and I can open it that way.

Another issue is I can't actually open these emails. I can only view them
in the preview pane in Outlook. The error I get when I try to open the email
is "Can't open this item. Can't create file: PR_ENTRY_REPORT.HTML" (the file
name of the html document). I can open all other emails, and all other
attachments...just not html attachments.

I frequently use html attachments for my job and our IT department can't
figure the problem out. Can anybody help me?!

I'm having almost the same problem. But the error that I get is some thing
like "Couldn't create the file xxx.html Clic on the mouse in the folder where
you want to create this file and choose properties to review your permits on
this folder" (the message is in Spanish). Also it happen just with som html
files, not with all of them...
I need help too!

Thanks

I would also like to add that I'm using Outlook 2000 with all of the current
updates, and IE 6.

The problem is still occuring...and it's really a pain. Please help!

some of my users have the same problem too. I noticed this started happening
when they installed Firefox Mozilla and they make it the default browser.
If they want mozilla to be the default, then, they have to copy the link and
paste it to mozilla.
that's how they are working with it, if somebody knows how to fix the
problem, let us know
