can't open htm photo filed from mac sender

mack dude says she is checking "send as jepeg and PC friendly" but it always
arrives as a htm and if I try and open I get the dreaded red X

The person using the Macintosh should sent the file to themselves on an
outisde account to see what they are getting (like to a GMAIL account and
check it from the web browser - not an internal application.)

Also - you should probably try the same from the person - as it could be
your end with the issue - some filter on whatever server, etc.

Lastly - the Macintosh person should save the file as a JPG and then attach
that file to the email - not use any internal features of their email client
to make it 'PC Friendly'. It's a picture - it should already be 'any
computer/OS you want to run friendly'.

(They could use Picasa and post it in an album.)

And just adding to Shenan's good advice - tell your friend to make sure
to actually name the file "name-of-picture.jpg". Mac's don't need to
have the file extension shown and they don't by default. PCs do need the
file extension.
