Cant open folders with a double click

When I try to open a folder like my docs it automaticly
opens a new window and I asks me what I would like to
search for. The only way to actually open a folder is to
Right click and explore. This is a bit anoying, Ive
reset folder options and checked for strange mouse
settings and cant figure out what Ive done. Can you be of
any help.

Should try right click - Open.

Or

Type in Start - Run
regsvr32 /i shell32

Happened to me. You'll find a downloadable fix at line 18, right:
"search opens when double-flicking a folder".
