Can't open emails in Outlook 2003

When you open Outlook 2003, the new emails are downloaded and you see the
progress at the lower right hand corner of the window. Send/Receive actions.
Today, whenever I open Outlook, the send/Receive actions reaches 50%, an
error message saying," Business Contact Manager has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have to unselect the
check box next to "restart Business Contact Manager" and click send error
report to regain access to my computer. If I don't unselect this box and
click either send or don't send error report, the error message pops up
continually. In either event, I never get to open any of the emails. Please
advise. Thank you

I suggest you post to one of the Outlook newsgroups. Scroll down the left
side of the below listed link and look under microsoft.public.outlook.* for
a list of those groups.

Thanks Rock,
I will try your suggestion.
With the initial error message, I did get a prompt to go to the Windows
Error Reporting site where I got this message: "This problem was caused by
Office System. Office System was created by Microsoft Corporation." It said
that I needed an update but I couldn't download the update. My version of
Microsoft is "genuine." I was able to send a message to a 'Support
Specialist.' Hopefully this will help resolve.
thanks again.
