Can't open Database...

Hi,

closed down the PC to stop it hanging and now I can't get back in to my
database. It stops opening with the following error message is "The Microsoft
Jet Database engine stopped the process because you and another user are
attempting to change the same data at the same time...
Sggestions...please!!

First off make a backup copy of the MDB file. If there is a LDB file in the
directory, delete it.

If you are using Access 95 or 97 - compact the database then repair it

If you are using Access 2000 or above select the Compact/Repair option.

If that does not work create a brand new database and try to import all the
objects over to the new database.
