CANT OPEN C: DRIVE!!!!! HELP

i opend my computer today and found that the icon for my
C: drive had changed it is now white 1 with the 6 little
coloured things in it and when i try to open my C: drive
i get a message saying C: is not a valid win32
application if someone could help i would most appreciate
it thx :(

Search the root of the C:\ drive for an autorun.inf file and delete it.

You may have to boot to Safe Mode to do the above, boot the system, start
tapping F8, when the menu appears, select Safe Mode and press enter.
