Can't open any pps files on incoming OE messages

I have XP. I need to get power point into my OE system somehow. Walk me thru
the way to do it.

PowerPoint is an application program. Like other application programs, it
has to be installed under Windows, not " into [your] OE system."

PowerPoint can be bought either by itself or as part of Microsoft Office at
your local computer store or at many web sites. It is *not* part of Windows
XP (or any other version of Windows).

If your situation is that you have received a pps attachment to an E-mail
message and you can't open it, you can download the free Microsoft
PowerPoint viewer at

That will permit you to view pps files, but not create or modify them.
