Cant open any applications

Um..somehow I managed to change somthing so every application opens in
notepad..I cant change it back. I understand this is probably quite an
uncommon problem, But if anyone could help it would be apreaciated, Im using
XP, I cant even run system restore, because its an application, so yea...you
get the picture o_O..

Run the System restore in the Safe Mode.
