I moved a folder to my f-drive (thumb drive) from outlook 2003 and deleted
the folder. Now I can't open the folder on the thumbdrive. It says "unable to
display the folder". When I attempt to copy/move it back to outlook it copies
as a .ink file, but will not allow me to open it. Any suggestions

Does it say .INK or .LNK? A .lnk is a link to a file and thus really is not
something outlook will process. How did you move this folder and which
folder did you move? Normally outlook does have some issue with PST files
that are not kept on local drives. Not sure how it really likes removables.

Folders in Outlook are NOT file system objects and cannot be stored external
to Outlook. When you "copied" the folder, you actually created a link on
the thumb drive. When you deleted the folder in Outlook, your link now
points nowhere.
