Can't move messages to folders

Running Outlook 2003 on XP. One of our users can't drag and drop inbox
messages to folders. It works for about 5 minutes and then the message
returns to the inbox. No rules configured. Logged onto my PC with his profile
and can drag and drop normally. Ran a detect and repair on his PC, restoring
default office settings without success. Any ideas?
 
Is the machine that doesn't work in cached exchange mode? If so, try
renaming the OST file and have Outlook create a new one.
