Can't move for FBA Errors Like "RegSetKeySecurity Failed!"

I thought I would try my luck doing the Dual-Boot thing. Took a while but I
got it all going. Trouble is my FBA Log is showing weird errors. Lots of
lines that are not showing Error Code (0x0).

Here is a sneak preview.

This is right at the beginning.

1:16:39 AM - [FBASetProgressText] Setting PNP Flag...
1:16:40 AM - [FBAApplySecurityStringToRegKey] RegSetKeySecurity Failed!
Error: 0x6
1:16:40 AM - [FBAReplaceSecurityInRegistry]
FBAApplySecurityStringToRegKey(009) #1 Failed!

then I also have ones like............

[FBALaunch] D:\DriveD\WINDOWS\system32\snetcfg.exe -l
D:\DriveD\WINDOWS\inf\netmscli.inf -c c -i MS_MSCLIENT (ExitCode: 0x4a020)
[FBALaunch] D:\DriveD\WINDOWS\system32\snetcfg.exe -l
D:\DriveD\WINDOWS\inf\netip6.inf -c p -i MS_TCPIP6 (ExitCode: 0x4a020)
1:21:07 AM - [FBASetProgressText] Installing Components...
1:21:09 AM - [FBALaunch] D:\DriveD\WINDOWS\system32\sweninst.exe asyncmac
netrasa.inf (ExitCode: 0x1)
[FBARegQueue: GetProcAddress] D:\DriveD\WINDOWS\system32\mshtml.dll (Error:
0x7f)

Anyway, heaps of the (Error: 0x7f) variety. Andagain with the Security part.

1:22:41 AM - [FBAApplySecurityStringToRegKey] RegSetKeySecurity Failed!
Error: 0x6
1:22:41 AM - [FBAReplaceSecurityInRegistry]
FBAApplySecurityStringToRegKey(009) #1 Failed!

Are these anything to worry about?

BlueMonkey,

Seems like you are doing it the wrong way.

Is this the path you copied the image to: D:\DriveD\WINDOWS?
Obviously, the DriveD comes in because you used D: as the boot driver in TD settings. You will have to copy everything from DriveD
build folder to the root of your second partition that is supposed to hold the XPe image.

First two errors you see in the FBALog are harmless and documented in the Release Notes of the SP2:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa460102.aspx
These errors are only there if the "Performance Counter Configuration" component is included in a runtime

Thanks for being blunt.

I thought it was a little weird having a folder called "DriveD".

Cheers!

Mostly sorted. However, I still have a few errors. Not sure if they really
mean anything or not.

They are:

[FBALaunch] D:\WINDOWS\system32\snetcfg.exe -l D:\WINDOWS\inf\netmscli.inf
-c c -i MS_MSCLIENT (ExitCode: 0x4a020)
[FBALaunch] D:\WINDOWS\system32\snetcfg.exe -l D:\WINDOWS\inf\netip6.inf -c
p -i MS_TCPIP6 (ExitCode: 0x4a020)
[FBACallEntryPoint] LoadLibrary(D:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiaprpl.dll)
(Error: 0x7e)
[FBALaunch] D:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiapsrv.exe /RegServer (ExitCode:
0xc0000135)
[FBARegQueue: GetProcAddress] D:\WINDOWS\system32\mshtml.dll (Error: 0x7f)
[FBARegQueue: GetProcAddress] D:\WINDOWS\system32\msrating.dll (Error: 0x7f)

[FBARegQueue: GetProcAddress] D:\WINDOWS\system32\imgutil.dll (Error: 0x7f)

Cheers!

mean anything or not.

They are:

[FBALaunch] D:\WINDOWS\system32\snetcfg.exe -l D:\WINDOWS\inf\netmscli.inf
-c c -i MS_MSCLIENT (ExitCode: 0x4a020)

This error indicates that the network protocol was already installed and FBA attempted to initialize it again. This error can be
ignored.
[FBALaunch] D:\WINDOWS\system32\snetcfg.exe -l D:\WINDOWS\inf\netip6.inf -c
p -i MS_TCPIP6 (ExitCode: 0x4a020)

The same here.
[FBACallEntryPoint] LoadLibrary(D:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiaprpl.dll)
(Error: 0x7e)

Error: The specified module could not be found.
Do you have the "WMI Core" component included in your runtime with all the dependencies resolved?
[FBALaunch] D:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiapsrv.exe /RegServer (ExitCode:
0xc0000135)

Likely related to the above error.
[FBARegQueue: GetProcAddress] D:\WINDOWS\system32\mshtml.dll (Error: 0x7f)

Error: The specified procedure could not be found.
Likely you've got something missing from the IE stack. Depending on whether you are planning on using IE or WebBrowser object, this
may not may not be important.
[FBARegQueue: GetProcAddress] D:\WINDOWS\system32\msrating.dll (Error: 0x7f)
[FBARegQueue: GetProcAddress] D:\WINDOWS\system32\inseng.dll (Error: 0x7f)
[FBARegQueue: GetProcAddress] D:\WINDOWS\system32\imgutil.dll (Error: 0x7f)

The above seem to be related to the error with mshtml.
