can't logon to xp

i recently installed mcafee firewall on my home computer.
xp home. now when i try to logon , my desktop flashes for
about a second then goes straight to logging off. it does
this on all other user accounts as well. is there any way
to get past this so i can troubleshoot the problem.
help!

I'd start by removing it if possible and then contact McAfee tech support
for help with the issue. If you can get into Safe Mode, you should be able
to remove it. Boot the system, start tapping F8, when the menu appears,
select Safe Mode. Once in, go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
